Updates on my work for Kensington and Chelsea, on the council and beyond.
Housing Enforcement Policy 2026
As Lead Member for Housing, I've led the Council's new Housing Enforcement Policy 2026, setting out how tenancy reforms under the Renters' Rights Act 2025 will be applied locally.
Re-Elected for Royal Hospital Ward
Re-elected as one of three Conservative councillors for Royal Hospital Ward in the May 2026 local elections, with 1,530 votes — up 269 on 2022, and the most votes I've ever received in the ward. It was wonderful to have the hard work of the last four years vindicated at the ballot box, and I'm looking forward to continuing to work with my colleagues for local residents.
Lots Road Survey
As a resident of the area myself, I teamed up with a group of newly elected ward councillors to help run their very first resident survey — asking people living around Lots Road to prioritise lighting, tree planting, pavements and safety. Good to see new colleagues hit the ground running for their residents, with the results now shaping a resident-led plan for the street.
Housing Supply
I've put forward a new policy allowing the conversion of no-longer-viable hotels into genuinely needed homes, with strict tests and a focus on affordable and family-sized housing.
Local Business
As part of my push to make the Council more business-friendly, I backed the rollout of outdoor dining across the borough and new activity spaces on Sloane Square.
Conservative Friends of Turkey
Proud to continue strengthening ties between the UK and the British Turkish community as Co-Chair of Conservative Friends of Turkey.
Planning Reform
Launched the Council's new Fast Track Planning Application Service, giving residents and businesses a quicker, more predictable route through planning for straightforward applications — without cutting corners on consultation.
